און דער צװײטער פֿון אים, כִּלאָבֿ, פֿון אַבֿיגַיִל דער װײַב פֿון נָבֿלן פֿון כַּרמל; און דער דריטער, אַבֿשָלום, דער זון פֿון מעכה דער טאָכטער פֿון תַּלמַי דעם מלך פֿון גשור;

It has been taught: His name was not Mephibosheth but Ishbosheth. Why, then, was he called Mephibosheth? Because he used to put David to shame on questions of Halakah. On that account David merited that Chileab should issue from him;
